Me. Ponce completed his Bachelor of Laws and Master of Business Administration degrees in 2008 at the University of Sherbrooke. He graduated from the École du Barreau du Québec the following year.

Me. Ponce is also an accredited mediator in civil, commercial and labour mediation since the beginning of 2018.

Throughout his academic and professional background, Me Ponce has aquired extensive experience in labour and corporate law, civil and commercial litigation, all while leveraging his conflict resolution skills.

Valentin completed his law degree at the Université de Montréal in 2011 and successfully completed his professional training at the École du Barreau in 2018.

Throughout his academic career, he has been involved in various projects, including as a secretary on the Lawyers Without Borders Committee and as a student in the very first edition of the Clinique Juridique at the École du Barreau du Québec.

Valentin recently joined the firm as an articling student, bringing with him his experience acquired while working for one of Canada's five major banks. Attentive, motivated and creative, he offers a valuable support to our growing team.

Caroline Filion

Caroline is a graduate of the University of Montreal, with a major in psychology.  She also obtained a minor in social sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal.

She has more than 10 years of experience in various law firms on Montreal’s North Shore, which were specializing in both civil and commercial litigation as well as in corporate law.

Whether it is to assist us on a daily basis, follow up with our clients or prepare and review files, Caroline is essential to the proper functioning of our team.

Company History

Beginnings in Istanbul

Me Ponce began his career by practicing commercial and immigration law in Hong Kong for a year, after which he moved to pursue his work in Istambul, Turkey.

He opened a first practice in Istanbul in a market where a large volume of Chinese workers were beginning the process of economic immigration.

 

Returning to Quebec

He represented immigrant investors who wanted to contribute to the country’s economy by moving to Québec by benefiting from the program ran in collaboration with Canadian financial institutions

The commercial aspect of this venture has contributed to the development of his practice in commercial litigation and economic immigration by applying several principles of administrative law.

Me Ponce practice evolved to litigation and conflict resolution in both labor and administrative law.

Opening his practice

Me Ponce then worked in a renown frim based in Laval where he mainly focused on real estate for the benefit of SMB`s clients, as well as gathering experience in both the construction and commercial industries.

Strongly implicated in his community, Me Ponce became a well-known figure in Laval’s commercial community.

He has notoriety in both the Chamber of Commerce of Laval,  Chambre des notaires, as well as with his alumni colleagues.

Now head of his own firm, Me Ponce works closely with a team composed of a paralegal, a legal assistant and an external legal counsel.
